Make Every Decision Lead Towards Your Vision
To young leaders.
Every single decision either leads you towards your vision or leads you away from it.
So every decision you make matters – from what new project you commit to, to whom you have coffee with on a Sunday afternoon.
But, for that to be the case, you must first have a vision.
Here are the three big mistakes most people make when it comes to their vision:
1. They don’t develop a clear vision;
2. They don’t write down and visualise their vision; and/or
3. Their vision is not ambitious enough.
Write and visualise a clear and inspirational vision, and you are already in the top 10%.
Regularly track your performance against your vision, and you are in the top 5%.
Ensure that all your key decisions are consistent with your vision, and you are in the top 1%.
So why do most of us fail to do it?
Because committing yourself to a clear, ambitious vision makes you accountable to yourself – and most of us fear accountability.
F@&# fear. Seize the day.
