The Golden Rule of Leadership: Protect Others’ Composure and Self-Esteem

Notes to Young Leaders | 11 October 2023

A note to young leaders.
The golden rule of relationships – don’t be reckless with other people’s composure or self-esteem.

If you make a person toss and turn at night – it’s your fault, not theirs.

It’s bad karma and, one way or another, it will rebound and hurt you.
Wherever possible, avoid making people angry or fearful. In both instances, they become highly unpredictable.

So stop poking and provoking, even in jest. Find another source of amusement.
