Three Questions to Improve Your Leadership

Working with the late, great John R Caldon – former Deputy MD of Macquarie Group – I noticed that he asked three killer questions immediately after every important business meeting.

“How do you think that went, Adam?”

“What could we have done better?”

“What should we be doing now?”

Assess. Learn. Take action.

These are a lot easier to brainstorm with a colleague. For this reason, it’s vital that you attend important business meetings with a colleague that you respect and trust.

Answer these three questions after every major pitch or negotiation, and watch what happens to your performance over time.
