From Struggle to Success: The Power of Encouragement

Barack Obama was a good but not outstanding student at Punahou High School in Hawaii. As he later admitted, he “dabbled in drugs and alcohol,” including marijuana and cocaine.

Fast forward a decade or so and Obama is now accepted at Harvard Law School, where he excels graduating magna cum laude and winning election as president of the prestigious Harvard Law Review.

Less than two decades later, he is the first African-American US President. Humans are capable of remarkable comebacks.

If you see someone going astray, don’t tell them to “go away”, tell them to “come back”.

Judge less, encourage more. You’ll be happier that way.
