Life is About Becoming, Not Arriving

I was introduced recently to a talented university student. Perhaps he was flattering me but at one stage he asked: “At what point did you realise that you’d made it?”

After recovering from the shock, I smiled and replied: “I’ll let you know when it happens.”

Truth be told, we never arrive.

Life is less about being, more about becoming.
