The Power of Consistent Routines for Success
To young leaders.
With mask-wearing now mandatory in Sydney offices, many businesses are understandably back in WFH mode.
The good news is we’ve been here before, so we ought to be equal to the challenge.
The bad news is many will struggle to re-establish the physical, mental and spiritual routines that have served them well thus far.
When I mentor, the first question I ask is: “What does a typical day look like for you? What are your routines from the minute you wake up until you lay your head on a pillow to sleep?”
The universe is fractal. Each day is a microcosm of the whole. Show me a day and I’ll show you your life. If you are careless with a day, you are careless with the whole. And if you are faithful with a few things, you will be a ruler over many.
So be vigilant to maintain the habits that have served you well so far: exercise, diet, sleep, affirmation, gratitude, goal-setting, prayer etc.
The price of excellence is willful consistency.
