Vote with Respect — Unity Is the True Power of Democracy

Notes to Young Leaders | 4 November 2024

A note to American voters and to all voters in the democratic world.

More important than who you vote for, is how you treat those who vote differently to you.

A family is not a family unless there is love; and a country is not a country unless there is respect.

Take down a notch whether your political opinion is right; and lift up a notch how you treat those who have a different political opinion to you.

And whomever you elect, don’t surrender your power to any leader.

No government or leader can fix our problems without us also accepting our responsibility to lead.

You are more powerful than you imagine.

Volunteer, donate, contribute. Serve a community need that you care about. When we act selfishly, we divide. When we act selflessly, we unite.

You are the United States. Unite.
