Want to Be Wiser? Start by Studying the Happiest People
A note to young leaders.
Who’s the happiest person you know?
Or to put it more precisely: who’s the most consistently happy person you’ve spent a lot of time with?
Pause for a moment to contemplate your answer.
Do you have a person in mind?
Ok, good.
Can you think of another person who is equally as happy or almost as happy as this person?
Good.
For me, it’s my father – and his sister, my aunt.
Now, ask yourself: What do these two people have in common?
What makes them both so robustly happy?
Figure that out and you’re half-way to wisdom. The other half is the will.
