Why Having Kids Can Boost Your Career

I once asked my father whether I should have kids in the next couple of years or wait until I had established my career first.

Dad’s answer was categorical: “Never think that having kids is detrimental to your career. The reverse is true. Whatever kids take away in terms of time and money, they more than make up in your determination to succeed.”

Dad went on to say: “I actually prefer to hire people with a young family because they are fighting for a cause far greater than themselves. The love we have for our children is more powerful and more reliable than the love we have for ourselves.”

Kids are not an impediment to career success. Go forth and propagate.
