Uncovering Hidden Superpowers in Leadership
I came across a news article recently about medical researchers using mosquitoes for early cancer detection.
It turns out that mosquitoes’ heightened sense of smell allows them to detect a minute change in the odour of an early-stage cancer patient’s breath.
So mosquitoes might end up saving millions of human lives by helping us diagnose cancers earlier. Currently mosquitoes are one of the biggest killers as the spreaders of Malaria.
And if mosquitoes have an unknown superpower, how much more so does each human being.
The true test of leadership is to find the hidden superpowers of the people you are working with and focus them on the most important strategic aims of the organisation.
If you can do that, you can help turn a team mate into a superstar. And that’s the highest vocation of a leader.
