Reliable but Still Overlooked? That’s Leadership Forming

A note to young leaders.

Are you being taken for granted?

Excellent – you are on the right path.

Only highly reliable people who rarely complain are taken for granted. That’s a club worth belonging to.

But you don’t want to stay there. Level up.

Don’t be satisfied with just being “reliable”. Instead of just consistently meeting expectations, consistently exceed them.

And instead of never complaining about others, constantly encourage others and make them laugh. It’s not enough to avoid pulling your team mates down, lift them up.

Do these two things and … you’ll still be taken for granted.

Except now your absence will be instantly and keenly felt. And if that happens, it won’t be long before you have leadership thrust upon you.
