Coincidence Is the Universe’s Way of Saying Thank You
A note to young leaders.
Coincidence is the universe’s way of winking at us.
Earlier this year, I attended a gathering in Centennial Park to mark the fourth anniversary of the passing of the great John R Caldon.
After a picnic lunch, I walked with his wife Lyndey Milan, and a few friends, to a park bench dedicated in John’s honour. There, we scattered some of John’s ashes and shared a few words of remembrance.
Afterwards, as I stood by reminiscing with Lydney, my eyes caught what looked like a stray piece of litter a few metres away. I walked over to pick it up.
It turned out to be a printed card saying: “Thank you.” On the flip side of the card: “I very much appreciate what you did.”
Coincidence? Or was John, with his familiar courtesy and warmth, sending a gentle wink from beyond the veil?
For me at least, the answer is obvious. Life’s too coincidental to be accidental.
Day unto day uttereth speech. Be still, listen.
