Yogananda’s Secret to a Life Well-Lived
A note to young leaders.
If an inspirational life is what you seek – aim for depth, not breadth.
Better a whispered “thank you” from one person than the raucous applause of a crowd.
When someone asked the Indian yogi master, Yogananda, the secret to a life well-lived – he didn’t mention wealth, power, honour or fame.
He offered this poetic image instead:
“When you came into the world, you were crying while everyone else was smiling. You should so live your life that when you die, you’re smiling while everyone else is crying.”
The more smiles you sow in life, the more tears you’ll reap in death.
Here’s to a rich harvest of tears.
