Leaders as Energy Magnifiers

A note to young leaders.

Leaders are energy magnifiers. Think Richard Branson.

Every interaction with another human being is an opportunity to lift another person’s energy – and in so doing, lift your own.

We all have about 20 meaningful interactions in a typical work day.

As an experiment and a challenge, pick a single day next week, and keep a scorecard of the number of interactions you have and the number of times you succeeded in lifting the energy of the others in the room.

See if you can go 20 for 20.

If you can do that, I promise you – your career success is inevitable.
